Miramiro is committed to welcoming a wide and diverse audience.

In our communications, we try to clearly communicate which performances we think are suitable for people with disabilities. We do this in our own way using the icons below and age indications for each performance. For specific questions or information, please contact us.

ICONS

This performance/ activity is accessible for people in a wheelchair. Upon presentation of a European Disability Card, we provide a free ticket for the companion of the wheelchair user. Would you like a free ticket for your companion? Send an e-mail to laura@miramiro.be to reserve your spot.

This performance/activity contains strong auditory elements, no/ little visual elements necessary to understand the performance or to participate in the activity. We recommend this performance/activity for people with visual impairment.

This performance/activity contains strong visual elements, no/little spoken text or the text is not necessary to understand the performance. We recommend this performance/activity for people with hearing impairment

This performance/ activity is equipped with hearing loops.

This performance/activity features a sign language interpreter.

This performance/activity is open to people with assistance dogs.

This performance/activity is open to people with mental disabilities. We ask to take the age indication as a guideline.

AUDIODESCRIPTION

Through our website, we provide info on the amount of text a performance contains. In many cases it is possible to understand the performance without hearing or understanding the text, as circus is a very visual art form. We ask the artists to send us the texts of performances where there is a lot of text or where the text is necessary to understand the performance.

For the 2026 edition of our Summerfestival, no audio descriptions are available.

SPECIAL RATES

For paid performances, we apply fair pricing with a reduced rate for people under 26 years old and people with an EDCard. Miramiro does not work with the UITPAS or discount/voucher schemes. In close consultation with several social organisations, we invite socially vulnerable people to enjoy the ticketed performances.

By bike

Take your bike! It is better for people, animals, and the environment, and it allows you to easily move from one location to another. We strongly encourage all visitors to come by bike if possible. You can park your bike at the front of Coyendanspark (in the bike parking areas to the left of the White Building).

By public transport

The festival hub in Coyendanspark is located near Gent Dampoort station and is therefore easy to reach by public transport. Plan your route by bus, tram, or train via the website of De Lijn or NMBS..

By car

Not able to come by bike or public transport? The Gent Dampoort car park is the closest parking to the heart of our festival. Please note that parking in Ghent is paid.

Ghent is now also a low-emission zone. Be sure to check whether your car is allowed to enter automatically. More information via Low Emission Zone Ghent.
