About the performance

In Ondersteboven, a moving body becomes a canvas on which to draw and project. The drawing enters into a dialogue with the trapezist and vice versa. A performance by father Jan and daughter Marth De Kinder.

About the company

Since she can read, Marth has been fascinated by stories. The ones that are written down, but mostly the ones that are not told. With her work, Marth wants to ask questions and bring up topics instead of offering a solution.

Marth De Kinder (Tienen, 1996) graduated in 2018 as a trapeze artist from the Academy for Circus and Performance Arts, where she was nominated for the Jacques de Leeuw Prize. In 2019 she graduated from the master ‘Performing Public Space’ for which she conducted her own research ‘Through-Us’.

In 2018 Marth directed ‘Space’ for ‘The Consequence’. A theater performance with refugees and Belgian youngsters who combined theatre, circus and movement to tell their story. Together with Marit Stocker she created the performance ‘Moef’ with ‘Opening Doors’, a theater company for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Marth created a variety of solo circus performances and was part of ‘Urban Fiction’, a performance directed by Pia Meuthen for Panama Pictures.

She teaches and gives workshops for various organizations such as the circus schools Salto (Tienen) and Circus in Beweging (Leuven).
