ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

Company Krak writes their life story with the ink of experiences of loss. In a very accessible way, Compagnie krak translates this into a clowning performance, KINTSUGI:

A clown waits. He hopes, and while trying to fill the emptiness, he realizes that loss will always be a part of him. Searching for ways to cope with his grief, he comes to terms with his fate. The art of clowning symbolizes the humor used to lighten the heaviest aspects of life. Raw emotion that doesn’t weigh on your stomach, but takes you on a journey from a firm pat on the back to a soothing, comforting heartbeat.

ABOUT THE COMPAGNIE

Compagnie Krak was founded in 2008 with the aim of bringing performances to third world countries. Their first show took them on tour through Southeast Asia and South America. This experience fueled their passion, and soon Compagnie Krak began touring in their own country, performing at festivals and cultural centers. Out of a strong desire to create a new production, Kus! was born.

The following productions became solo performances by Dieter Missiaen, with Els Degryse working behind the scenes as a dramaturge. With the successful poetic clowning performances VIVA RAPHAEL and KONTROL, Dieter has toured in Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and beyond.
