ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

In the performance Crack in the woods, Maria Madeira creates a reflection on her movement history. She draws from the repertoire of her own body and the memories it holds. Tap dance, ballet and acrobatics are key elements, as she is trained in all three. As you witness her moving portrait, echoes of musicality, violence and control resonate.

ABOUT MARIA

Maria Madeira ( 1997, Lissabon) is a circus and dance artist. She graduated from ACaPA (tilburg) in 2020, where she combined dance and circus into dance acrobatics. Her work explores the relationship with the floor and gravity.

After graduating, she collaborated with various companies.
