In Crack in the Woods, Maria Madeira reflects on the history of her own movement. She draws from the repertoire of her body and the memories it holds. Tap dance, ballet, and acrobatics — all disciplines in which she is formally trained — form the core of this exploration. As you watch her moving portrait, echoes of musicality, violence, and control resonate throughout.
