About the performance

Beyond is a dynamic, exhilarating, yet poetic circus and dance performance that explores, challenges and ultimately transcends Circumstances limits.  

Choreographer Piet Van Dycke collaborates with six professional artists, each specializing in a different discipline (ladder acrobatics, acro dance and (pole) dance). On stage they transform into boundless bridge builders.  

Using ladders of various sizes and heights, the performers create impressive structures, such as arch sculptures and rotating cranes. They balance the ladders and turn them into a thrilling, precarious playground.  

Every centimeter and every second matters. They push boundaries, discovering how far they can challenge one another. Physical interdependence has never been this exhilarating. 

BEYOND delves into the vulnerability, absurdity, and strength of limits—and how we can push them further through collaboration. Together, we dance on the collective ladders of human imagination.
