PROGRAM

14h -15h30 –
Theoretical conference by Guillaume Martinet about his method of and experiences with dramaturgical writing.

15h30- 16h30 –
Physical workshop (physical participation is not mandatory, you are welcome to participate in a observatory and verbal capacity)

16h30 – 17h30 –
Open conversation and exchange
Followed by a drink and convivial after talk at the bar.

ABOUT GUILLAUME MARTINET

Guillaume is a juggler and one of the founding members of Defracto cie (°2008) He loves to continuously develop body and juggling language.

His career took flight with early recognition; like the special price of the jury of ‘Festival Mondial du Cirque de demain’ in 2009 for his solo ‘Cinétique TOC’ and laureate Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe with Defracto cie in 2010.

Creations like ‘Circuits fermés’ (°2010 – with David Maillard and Minh Tam Kaplan), ‘Flaque’ (°2013 – with Eric Longequel and David Maillard) and Dystonie (°2017 – with Van Kim Tran, André Hidalgo, Fanny Roz and Samantha Lopeza), each performed over a 100 times for audiences all over the world – from Europe, Africa, South America, Oceania to Japan.

Current works of his are ‘Yokaï Kemane’ (°2019)  joint collaboration with Atama to Kuchi (JP) and an improvisation solo for public space ‘Croûte’ (°2022). Both spectacles were presented during the Miramiro Summerfestival in 2023. Defracto cie is currently working on a new creation ‘Monochraturé’ for 2024.

Multitalented as he is, Guillaume has also been involved in other projects; like ‘Digink’ (°2014) a video project in collaboration with Eloi Prieur that won the ‘Premier prix du Festival international de Jonglerie en Image’. From early on he is interested in sharing and exchange. In 2009 he created a specific pedagogy project with Audrey Jacquiot and Laure Caillat, for all kinds of audiences and contexts, which he lead up to 2015. Since then his interest in pedagogy has not dwindled as he continues to give workshops, masterclasses and conferences for both professionals and others like children
