About the performance

Three acrobatic performers try to keep themselves literally and figuratively upright as the ground beneath their feet keeps shifting. To stay on their feet, they must constantly adapt.

Running, tumbling, swaying, they struggle to remain standing. They cling to one another, to an edge, or to the hand of a spectator. Surrounded by the audience and immersed in an enchanting live soundtrack, the performers seek to find a new balance amid flying, sliding, falling, and catching. Should they strive for control? Or should they learn to wobble really well?

SKRAM is an ode to resilience and to the courage to wobble, to take risks, to fail, and to get back up. The performance recognizes and embraces a world of both children and adults that is constantly changing.

A world in which we navigate the boundaries between what we want, what we have to do, and what we are capable of. In this way, SKRAM celebrates the resilience and adaptability of young children as they continually adjust to new situations, discovering surprising abilities within themselves. And discovering, too, the beauty of failing from time to time.
