About the performance

Creation 2026/2027 – Premiere 2027

“Momentum” is a contemporary circus production by Close Call Company in which circus artist Julia Gut explores the dynamic interplay between trapeze and floor acrobatics. The show approaches the concept of ‘the space in between’ – physically, thematically and metaphorically. She is joined on stage by Jonas Bolliger who contributes to the piece both as a live musician and an acrobat.

Using a free standing rig and a spring floor, “Momentum” is an explosive and high-energy performance. At the heart of the project lies the exploration of transitions: the dismount from the trapeze, the leap back, and the dynamic movements that physically connect aerial and ground acrobatics. 

​“Momentum” is designed to be performed primarily in outdoor spaces. With a runtime of approximately 30 minutes, the show is especially suitable for families with children.
